  1. Well having been on this forum for a few years, i have read hundreds of topics and thousands of posts about how crt are dreadful and want to remove poor peoples boats. well i recently fell on hard times following ill health leading to unemployment. and of all the large bodies i had dealings with crt were the most helpful. Helped with housing benefit claim to a hostile and useless council. Regular calls to keep me updated and see how things were. then when offered a quicker option to get my license and moorings arrears back on track now in working refused and offered a solution that wouldn't put me in a financial bind while in getting back on my feet. so im now a firm fan

  3. No, not anymore, it was manned by a lock keeper called Ray but you just go through as normal. It's called "The Summit" and it's the point where the canal goes downhill from the summit lock. The water is fed from here both ways and the lock keeper used to monitor passages but they ceased this recently.

  4. Bet this wouldn't get reported on the "other side". I've always found C&RT staff, and their predecessors at BW to be generally helpful and cooperative. But then I pay my bills and don't take the piss.

  7. How is it off-topic to mention the only UK political party which is opposed to this nonsense? If you "couldn't be arsed" to compose a sensible reply, then why compose one at all? It just comes back to what I said last week, for some reason you seem to follow me around this forum like a little puppy dog, even when you have absolutely nothing to contribute to the thread.

  8. Hi Rich I am also looking for a replacement for the now discontinued Barrus 110a (prestolite 35215315). Could you possible let me know which alternative the Starter Motor and Alternator Co Ltd provided and wether it is a a simple replacement fit. Many thanks in advance. Not to bothered if it is slightly lower or higher than 110a. Note: May be of use to you but I have used the above company to source an alternative starter Motor (original fitted Hitachi S13-294) the equiv cost £160 delivered Barrus was about £460. Their Ref is S1501
