Strewth - quality chin syrup that is

And you have to say that he looks less than impressed with what he's having to sing

Posted (edited)
Thats a stage set if ever I saw one and he's WAY to clean for a bargee

Well he does sing he's " ... only a lonely old man with a barge". I love his hat though. And was that a quick shot of Brentford depot there?

Don't ask - you don't want to know

Its what he's planning to do next that worries me

Never mind the Hamster, I smell a rat. Another one of Roger Hutchinson's 'Its a wind up' Productions by King Learie, a bit like the 'Thetford thunder box' me thinks!

Brentford - probably. You'll find a bunch of gems amongst this lot:http://tinyurl.com/8jjjdz

Search through the upper panel on the right under the 'More from this user' tab. They seem to change from time to time, probably on a rotational basis dependent on demand. Don't think you'll find any croaking frogs, false goatees and canvas thank heaven.

 I'm hurt! Here I am posting stuff to brighten everyone's day and I get accused of rigging it!

Poor ol' Dan Gerous has the flu and sent the film to me on Friday as he knows I have a taste for this sort of off piste stuff and I when I saw it I couldn't believe someone could have put this film together without the intention of taking the piss.

But none the less I felt it needed wider appreciation.

You know it's a fake because he never strokes it, whereas I stroke mine all the time....

 We must celebrate Charles & Camilla's wedding again sometime Blossom....

Well we liked it, mainly because "Donald" looked rather like a boater we know.

There did seem to be a lack of scratches on the film, until you came to the Pathe News end credit.

 I think these films were made as shorts that were played between a double feature at the flicks. This is an excert from a longer variety film with a theme that probably also featured a Romany gypsey in his bowtop vardo singing about tacmac driveways. They were cheaply thrown together and it is in the credits where the same animated clip is used everytime they wanted a copy until it was ruined. Hence the difference between stock footage and the bit with Donald - I was suprised at the quality too possibly it was the master edit that copies were made from. I suppose I should be flattered that it was thought to be a fake. If I faked it then I would not be able to resist putting the fake scratchs on too.

I'm working on my latest film called Toxic Dredgings for Soar Eyes and writing this while the edits are saved.

And watching the snow with a bemused kitten pawing the glass and is there honey for tea?
