Guest
Marine ply always had BS1088 stamped on it when I were a lad. I think this is still the case, but others will know more than I.

W+T
Thought it was cheap for £35 a sheet. Its for a rear deck so it mite be better to make a GRP one yet. had a bit of a disaster
Lampyrichard
The EN636-2S would suggest structural grade (the S bit) but only good for 'protected humid' use... http://apawood-europe.org/official-guidelines/european-standards/individual-standards/en-636/ so no, it doesn't look like marine ply to me either ! For marine ply you're looking for minimum EN636-3 or BS1088 as pointed out by Catweasel
Murflynn
even BS1088 isn't enough. I bought some at Lathams for about £35, marked 1088 but they were at pains to tell me it was not Lloyds certified. They had Lloyds 1088 ply at twice the price. The 9mm 5-ply was fine, but the 12mm 7-ply fell apart in the middle with little encouragement!
jonathanA
Since your in Lancashire you will get proper marine ply from Preston plywood supplies off bow lane Preston. Think I paid forty something quid plus vat for a sheet a couple of years ago. Also c & w berry in Leyland, their website suggests a sheet would be £65 inc vat. They will deliver but will charge a fair whack for delivery.
Cheshire cat
The firm I use price things keenly and their 18mm is £58.00 a sheet. The stuff you are looking at is probably exterior ply.
W+T
Morning chaps, glad i asked as i dont want to make the mistake again with crap plywood. And at £35 a sheet, even second hand/unused, is cheap for true marine Ply, Anyhow i have decided to make it from GRP, proper job then, as i should of in the first place. Have a good y`all
