After having been caught out several times in the last few years by late changes in the Winter Stoppage programme, can anyone see a glitch in a plan to move from Ashwood basin on the Staffs & Worcs to Stowe Hill (via S&W, T&M, Coventry, N Oxford,GU) between 26th Jan and 5th Feb.

Two dozen locks says it all - apart from scheduled stoppages that CRT usually announced in advance.  I have not checked.  I am not going anywhere by boat, so I don't need to know. But Glascote top lock plays up a bit, and so do some in the Atherstone flight - bit pot-luck I guess.

Quote CRT stoppages

"Thornfield Bridge 75, near Barby, Oxford Canal.

5th Feb 2018 8:00am to 16th Mar 2018 4:00pm

To undertake bridge repairs to correct significant parapet cracking. ."

I cant determine from that whether there will be any through passage or not. But as it starts on the 5th Feb you should be clear of it by then.

The only other stoppages as far as I can see on the Oxford shouldn't affect you but ill put them here for completeness.

"Napton Lock 10 to Marston Doles Bottom Lock 15, Oxford Canal.

8th Jan 2018 8:00am to 16th Mar 2018 4:00pm

To carry out repairs as follow: Lock 10: Top gate refit and reline. Lock 11: Replace top and bottom gates."
