River Location

The following image was posted in October on the Birmingham History Forum site. The conclusion made by contributors was that the location was the reconstructed railway bridge at Worcester which carries the line to Hereford over the River Severn. However the way the photograph was taken has hidden the central pier, if this was indeed the correct site identification. The length of the bridge span does appear somewhat longer than that a Worcester, by the way!

Where the Severn Bridge crossed there was a railway line known as the Butts Branch that also passed the bridge beside the river to end downstream of Worcester Bridge. If this was the wall on the right then it would support that line, but then I am not sure if it was that high at the point were the picture was taken. I would also expect to see more of the Power Station Wharf opposite.

So the question is this the Hylton area of Worcester?
