Bleeding Engine (Coolant.)

Just a quick reminder: Completely emptied my cooling system, and altered pipe work (Vetus 415). Am I right in thinking it is best to run unpressurised whilst the engine burps itself?

Tony Brooks is your man for this really, but I've usually topped up the system & then run the engine for a couple of minutes after which I check & top up again if necessary, repeating if needs be.

Once again - not on Vetus he is not. Don't like manufacturers who do not seem to understand the market they sell into. Then there is the spares price.

Unpressurised.

 

It sometimes helps to give any large rubber hoses at the top of the system a bit of a squeeze as well to help pump the air out.

 

Also, remember to bleed the skin tank
