Leans forward from his seat at the tiller and points to the boat name exhibited in 12" letters on the side of the vessel.

Pause/sniggering.

"Why don't you call it Ruby?"

"Cos it's BLUE!"

In which case, why didn't you call it sapphire? Topaz can be just about any colour.

'Sapphire' = 8 letters. 'Topaz' = 5 x 2 sides = saving of 6 letters @ £x ie cheapskate.

Also, 'z' pronounced with a marked Spanish accent. Clever or what?
