I'm not exactly reaching for the credit card - it's hugely expensive, doesn't ship to the UK yet, and seems to only come in the most horrible colour possible, but I wonder if it's one to watch? A folding bike with electrical assist that you can also set up essentially on blocks to generate 30-100w. It's not a huge amount but if you've got room it could keep the lights on and keep you fit in the dark months when you don't feel like venturing outside.

 

Like I say, I'm not convinced yet, and you can't buy it here yet anyway, but I think the basic concept is interesting.

Actually, that could be quite useful. You could use it to charge up your batteries if they are a bit low from charging up the, umm , bicycle

Have a look at the Volt Metro. Assembled in the UK and available now. I really enjoy mine and it's about the same size as the Brompton. Fits in the corner of the engine room.

Yep, excellent electric bike. Comes in a range of colours now not just black.
