If you arrange the terminals on the busbar so the inverter and battery bank connection share a stud, then the current between these won't need to pass through the busbar, only the terminals. Its possible that during heavy inverter use with the engine on, the alternator might pass its full current, and that would be on a separate stuf - so the current will traverse the bus bar. So, rate the busbar the same current capacity as the alternator.

What size busbar amps wise do I need for a 3000 watt inverter to go to my 8xt125 Trojan batts plz so batt to isolator then busbar plz I promise last question

 

500 amp capable busbar and isolator to be on the safe side. Make sure the isolators rating is for continuous use. Suggestions below.
