Please be advised that the Glasson Flight will be closed overnight until further notice. The top and bottom lock will be padlocked closed from 4:00pm to 8:00am daily to conserve water on the Lancaster Canal.

An update will be issued on Wednesday 19 August 2015.

Glasson branch was fine yesterday but has overnight stoppages now. Just moored up in Garstang...levels down a couple of inches.

 

Maybe they could flush the contaminated water out the mains and into the cut!

It's more likely they have taken the hundreds of millions of litres straight into Franklaw from the nearest large source of water which would be ....
