Tidal Thames today

We are doing the tidal Thames this afternoon, so if anyone is on a bridge, make sure you wave and feel free to take a photo! We're due out of Limehouse at 2.45pm.

 

There's a chap here who doesn't have a VHF licence, so he's joining us to make a convoy.

It will be busy around Tower Bridge to Westminster - sunday afternoon - expect large trip boats to come out of nowhere from both sides in both directions and they will cut across you as well.

 

Mind how you go

Yes it probably will be busy. We did it at a similar time of day last time, although not on a Sunday. I guess there could be more trip boats about, but hopefully fewer of the vast rubbish barges.

There is a trad boat event at St Katherines so you might see some lovely boats out. I might be at tower bridge this afternoon with wife and kids wil get a pic of your boat if I see it

We've just been along on the DLR to see the poppies at the Tower, and saw the signs for the boat festival. So along we went, and there's plenty to see -- and proper information boards on all the boats, too. Well worth a look.

I met Alex from Sileby Mill on a train earlier this week. He was off to collect his boat Nuala from Hampton Court and go to the St Katherine's Dock event. They should have had a great day for it.
