I'd clocked that and was hoping it was about our inland waterways, but it seems this episode is about Cabot...

Sailor and writer Tom Cunliffe takes a voyage through the history of British seafaring and puts some of the vessels featured in the programme through their paces

Does seem that is more lumpy water boating than inland.

 

Ep1 - The Matthew

Ep2 - The Pickle: The story of HMS Pickle, the boat that delivered the news of victory at Trafalgar.

Ep3 - The Phoenix: Sailing a square rigger, which turned Britain into a world power in the 19th century.

Ep4 - The Reaper: Tom Cunliffe sails the Reaper, the biggest sailing lugger ever to fish the seas.

Ep5 - Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter: Sailor and writer Tom Cunliffe sails a perfectly-restored Bristol Channel pilot cutter.

Ep6 - World War Two Landing Craft: Tom Cunliffe puts an LCVP through its paces and finds out how it helped win World War Two.

This series first came out a few years ago so is now being repeated. Still worth watching for me so thanks for posting. I didn't see all of them the first time round.
