I don't think you (or we) should worry too much about CaRTs attitude.

Its not really surprising that they have cooled off a bit, in fact its quite amazing that they talked to you as much as they did; an unknown boater with an unknown agenda and no "democratic" backing.

The survey is also a potential threat so maybe CaRT need to distance themselves a little. A very large survey of boaters views could be a real problem. CaRT are not there to execute our democratic wishes and it would probably be a disaster if they did that. They are there to run the waterways as they see best, but to do that they really must listen to our views, value our expertise, and give serious consideration of what we want.

So lets crack on, get "ACC" up and running and prove that we are a sensible bunch who know what we are talking about and are generally easy to work with. Its got off to a very good start and with a bit of effort should get better.
