Boating with children page?

Hi, quite new to the site and the only comments I have seen regarding children are generally negative ones about tripping over them in the pub! Any chance of having a page dedicated to boating with children, equipment for them, how to keep them entertained, places to take them etc. we have two young children and any helpful info we can gain from the forum would be good and even if people don't have young children of their own, they may take their grandchildren away occasionally.

Why do people feel the need to constantly keep their children entertained these days? What happened to children entertaining themselves?

And a magnet. We used to love going fishing for windlasses and the like. That and tying up by woodland to go climbing and build dens!!!

I have always found mother nature to be the best kids entertainer...especially around the canals.....

If one has some really strong magnets - - one can pin the children (via their loose clothing) to the hull

 

Sometimes for hours

 

That's quite entertaining
