Maybe if I was trying the Ricky tug of war, or towing something heavy, but for the boat on its own, I'm persuaded what I've done has not helped, and I'm going to try reverting.

The only disadvantage I've noticed of have the uxter plate just above the water when stationary is that it can get very noisy at the back of the boat when moored with the wind blowing back to front. The waves slap on the uxter plate as they disappear underneath. Much more so than if they just break against the hull side.

Alan when I. Commented that it needed to go down in the water I meant the bow. Not the stern!

Tell us about it!

 

We have spent a few very noisy nights on board, the worst being at Tixall Wide when there were waves on the water that would have looked less out of place at Brighton beach!

 

If we had thought about things before going to bed, we would have pointed the boat the other way, and I'm sure it would have been a whole heap less bad!
