The shower pump packed up so we got another one, a gulper 220. Hubby fixed it in using the fuse supplied and the fuse blew instantly. as far as we can see there are just two wires which did not touch each other. We are at a loss to know why, any idea's fellow boaters, thanks

Unlikely to be a faulty unit as these are very reliable and robust.

Has any water got in the wiring - why did you replace the previous pump, had water leaked and maybe got into the wiring in the bilge somewhere?

Is the fuse in the positive side?
