i use maps on my galaxy s2 accompanied by lattitude, works great if theres connection when you need it.

UKMap is brilliant and detailed enough to see every bump and turn in the canal. Most importantly it works off-line.

 

Doesn't tell you where Tesco's is, mind.

For iPhone and Android, but the iPhone ones are being released more quickly.

 

These are being added to all the time - I can't vouch for them as I havent used them as yet!

Paul shoved me his map on a smart phone this week while we were in Peterborough. There is a free trial of the Droutwich map to try at http://www.waterwayroutes.co.uk/wr/maps_droit.html#a41M2 but you need "memory map" to run the gps version. The maps should be accurate and up to date as he plotted t.hem himself, he has just done the Middle level, Gt Ouse, Lark etc.
