Clarence Dock Visitor Moorings Restriction SAT 30 June & SUN 1 July 2012.

 

Please note visitor moorings inside Clarence Dock will be restricted during the Leeds Waterfront Festival on SAT 30 June & SUN 1 July 2012 as they are designated for trip boats during the event. Please help us to make this event a success by using alternative moorings.

 

Alternative Moorings; During the festival weekend you can moor on the pontoon outside Fearns Wharf British Waterways offices and pontoon at Clarence Dock Sanitary Station (A space MUST be left here for the customer use of the pump out facilities).

 

Visitor moorings are also available at Thwaite Mills Watermill as part of the IWA Boat Gathering. Please contact Mike Tucknott for booking and more information Mike@tucky.f9.co.uk / 07885 951099.

Perhaps the submarine can submerge for the weekend giving an extra berth..........

 

He's still in the commercial area. It will be interesting too see what happens at the Dragon Boat race regarding.

 

It has been moved. It seems that BW/CART do occasionally listen to what people are saying :rolleyes:

 

Believe IWA got involved as well.

Just realised this is on. We were planning to arrive in Leeds tomorrow. Is mooring anywhere locally going to be possible or are we too late? If so I guess we'll stay here in Castleford and bus in.

All the moorings at the dock are full, including the ones on the pontoons on the river near the showers and toilets (there's room for one outside ferns wharf as currently there's only 1 boat, but you will overhang) there is room just outside the flood locks to the dock, not on pontoons but has bollards.

It is very nice here in Rodley. I will move into Leeds Monday or Tuesday

Thanks for the info Robbo I reckon we'll stay here in Castleford then or maybe move up a bit closer to Woodlesford Lock where there are moorings listed in the book.

 

There's also Lemonroyd, but only about 2hrs from Castleford.
