Kinver Canopies
To get back on topic, what is there to stop someone removing the glazing and putting it on their own boat? Thanks Sue At the moment, nothing(boo)... That, to be fair is why we need to test it out first then brain storm ideas to try and stop the criminal element of the waterways system from nicking them!! Please remember people this is only a test.. and once more to really get back on topic...have we any 'local' volunteers. Closest so far is Brum.. Well, I'm at the Bonded Warehouse but I have all portholes and double glazed ones at that. I'll be back on my boat full-time from January. Hooray! Kinver Canopies
erm...you can get double glazed boat windows...both Worcester marine and Channel glaze do them, so perhaps it's down to cost when you commission the boat. Of course, you still have metal frames which will still produce condensation on them, but double glazing is available for those that want. By the way Kinver, we are looking to do a VERY different cratch arrangement for our autumn build next year, at the request of the customer. I would be very interested to see what you have in mind............ OOOOOOOW.... That's what we like to hear.. Drop us an email if you like and we can have a blame storm...sorry I ment brain storm. Best to send it to sales'at'kinvercanopies.co.uk We like new and interesting ideas.

Out of interest - do you guys do repairs... we have a few 'battle scars' in our pram hood and our cratch cover that do not justify replacement but could be repaired...if you do how do we get a quote??? Cheers...
Mick and Maggie
I use several layers of folded greenhouse bubble wrap and neodymium magnets about the size of an asprin they can be found here on ebay. This system has worked a treat for the last two years. M-n-M

Not interfering or anything, however, I think it should be you who is contacting your potential client/customer. Martyn You know what they say about a "however or but"... Everything said before it is worth nothing. As I see it Ally is the potential customer, We have just made contact, Now we need to know what they are trying to achieve and we can then design said cratch to suit. But thanks for your input. Mick and Maggie
Ahemm.. any chance of an answer to post #31 Martin - As you are "oop norf" I have a couple of phone numbers for the Sheffield area that might be of help. One is Jean actually known to the biker community as "Mad Jean" who makes bespoke (and repairs) biker racing leathers. She has just replaced a large front zip on a jacket and repaired the top panel (full length rip) of our pram cover. (the boat has a go faster stripe) It actually look very good. Total cost £82. The other one is someone who specialises in repairing large tents. The boater moored next to me in the marina had a very good quality repair done for £30. Mail me for the numbers if your interested. Nightwatch
Well, emailed you ages ago, but no response. Are you still out there or did it go into your spam? Ally. CanI refer you to post 30 (I think) when I thought it should be the supplier, not the customer, who makes the effort in making contact. Just the way I see it. You seem to be having trouble getting through, maybe they don't want your business. Martyn
Kinver Canopies
Well, emailed you ages ago, but no response. Are you still out there or did it go into your spam? Hi Ally, Yes as you correctly assumed you got filtered but not spammed, we've been having a few sever problems with forwarding of mail to my smart(or not so smart phone). I'll call you guys in the morning ( loads of ideas). Sorry we've been quite busy with the 'ready for Christmas rush' and haven’t checked this post as the guinea pigs are now out there.
