matty40s
There was me thinking you'd run out of Shiraz, never mind. That's an emergency in itself.

Think I just might get a 'oss next time I venture on to BW waters. Cheaper licence fee. Lots of fuel about cos the contractors don't cut the grass at the water's edge, and it'll create havoc with the Lycra louts. Tone
KeithL
diesel must be one of the smallest costs of narrowboatists, ive hardly put anything in mine and been all over the place
Artimis
There was a recent thread about this My link Ahhh Thanks, I should pay more attention. So rumour is true but not for the correct reason. If its a simple change over to low sulfur juice with added bio than thats fine as my engine was born for veg oil. My concerns are for the pricing and taxation.

canaldrifter
Lucky you,it costs me about £40 a week when we are on the boat Yeah... me too. But then I live aboard and use the engine to generate domestic power mostly. Hence I claim 80% domestic and 20% propulsion. I don't cruise that much. There is the argument that when you are using fuel for propulsion, you are still charging batteries for domestic use, so 50/50 when on the move.
