Anti slip treads good buy at screwfix

What does it say on the box? (i.e. How do you use them?)

Do you stick them to your decks?

I bought them for sticking (three abreast) on some new steps I'm making.

They look for all the world like adhesive backed squares of coarse wet-n-dry.

Durable PVC treads with peel-away backing paper and strong rubber adhesive. Ideal for fitting to stairs

Self adhesive, stick em to your decks, roof, gunnels etc whatever floats your boat.

I wondered into my local Screwfix - and they ordered them for me - I collect from the store tomorrow - - -

Brilliant, thanks. Went to Screwfix and they ordered at the counter for the packs of treads for the house stairs. When OH saw them decided to order a load more for the boat. Obviously sand surface and clean prior to sticking on boat - but can you paint over them? Newby dumbo question having already bought a load, being delivered free.

Thanks all.

... can you paint over them?

I'm sure you could, but why would you want to? Firstly you'd destroy a large chunk of their grippy qualities and secondly the paint would soon wear off the high points in the grit and look dead scruffy.

I wish I'd thought of that - I could have saved myself a fiver.

There again, what does a fiver buy these days? Not even a packet of fags...
