Eddie Francis
Hi to All. I am presently living in Singapore and plan to build and outfit a narrowboat here and ship it in 2 containers to the Uk where I hope to live on it. I have searched for building plans but with very little success. I would be interested in buying plans for a successful all steel welded design (60 ft by 6'10"). Any information anbd advice would be welcome. Thanks in advance. Eddie Francis

Andrew Blast! must learn to type quicker I built my boat to Peter Hopley's plans. I think it looks rather good. I did tweak it a little with handrails, gas locker etc but the design meet all the requirements to pass BSS
ChrisPy
As a fellow expat, I'm fascinated. What is the approx cost of shipping and delivering a container to a suitable yard in UK where you can finish the fabrication?

Then weld it back together? T.
ChrisPy
probably need a rigid temporary former/frame to ensure both ends are made exactly the right shape. perhaps 2 floating halves (semi-sailaways) that can be floated together, bolted up and made watertight. That would make it unsinkable... just like the Titanic. Oh, wait....
