Also see http://www.motoren.ath.cx/ - very good for making sense of alternators and charging circuits. (look at links on left hand side) Don't know about plumbing. The Reading College ones are not good but but then I cannot say that I have seen anything better, except for one book that I have. Marine Electrical Systems, Published by Lucas Marine Ltd. (look at links on left hand side) I have just trauled through this book and its absolutely fabulous!!! I have used Charlie Wing in the past (can't remember the title), but this is super!!!
