Although I don't use Photobucket, I wonder if you're getting the {img} tags generated twice over? Note I'm using curly brackets instead of square ones because otherwise this message will think I'm trying to post a picture!

When you compose the message her on CWDF, it adds the tags {img} and {/img} (both in square brackets) at the ends of the URL. But on Photobucket it also adds those tags if you click on the "IMG code" line, so you would get them twice over.

So instead, just press on the "direct link" line in Photobucket, copy that and paste it in the box that appears when you have pressed the "insert image" button on the CWDF message that you're composing.

You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board. A valid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.gif, an invalid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.one.gif is the error message now received.

I didn't see a direct link line. Failed

The message is as below

http://s588.photobucket.com/albums/ss325/sueb12/ I have taken out the img at the begining and end as it won't let me post this

I have been given this new handmade quilt to raise money for wrg. Size is 250cm x 208cm or 98" x 82". The background colour is cream/pale yellow.

I would like offers or suggestions on the best way of raising money for this.

Many thanks Sue

Sorry if I have failed the idiots test

What I did in this case was simply copy the code including the [ img ] bits from your photobucket link, and pasted it here, without going through the 'insert image' process in the forum. In fact I think I might do this always in future. It's a lot simpler than overcoming the obstacles that Vista puts in my way. Quite surprised I was let into your Photobucket account, though, but perhaps I'm misunderstanding the nature of Photobucket accounts.

Thanks I am not worried about the photobucket account as there are only the two photos. The same two are in flickr as well.

On Flikr, click the "all sizes" tab above the photo, then choose the size you want to post and copy from the "grab the url" box below. Paste that into the forums "insert image" box.

Many thanks to everyone. After all our hard work only 21 people have looked at my advert
