I popped down. Nice day - surprised there weren't more boats. The beam engine was impressive.

I note that no-one took any pickies of 'me', had you been there at the right time you might also got a photo of my car engulfed in a cloud of steam when it blew up.. A bit like the Bismark doing a runner.

I did speak to you but you probably realise that you are not as photogenic as working boats and minature traction engines

They just kicked it in,,, the photo did no justice to the wet sorry looks on some faces after,, i had my two kids with me that ran a mile after the hisses and bangs, i had to find them or i would have had more pics It was just steam and a bit of smoke. Yes the boat count was a bit poor compared to last year, but again if your in the area next year its well worth a visit.
