Me sparkers stopped working!

Ive tried cleaning all the contacts etc, but had no affect!

Hi,

I had this problem on a 'Stoves' hob/grill unit (power source form the 12v boat electrics). Problem identified as defective ignition push button. Spares available but they kept sending the wrong bit. Hob model no longer made.

If it's on the boat 12V supply, have you checked the fuse?

Battery - 95% chance. I always thought mine was on the 12V system until the sparks stopped. The 1.5v battery lasts 'not quite for ever'.

Yes, changed the battery on my friends cooker recently, he didn't know it was there and he's had the boat ten years..

 

The same applies to the ignition systems on Poloma and other instantaneous water heaters by the way.

Both units are "Vanette" hob and grill/oven and the power is from the boats electric power not a battery!

Carefully check the switch as these are not water-proof and water etc gets into them - that's what b******d mine.
