Hot again today! Must admit I am not used to so much sun. Waited below Dutton lock till  another boat appeared when we went up there and Saltisford before mooring under a tree for a  while. Mooring at Northwich pretty full with 4 boats on the pontoons which were there when we came down last week. None of them looked occupied. Finally got a mooring opposite the marina - in the shade. We are near  an Indian  restaurant which does carry outs but it is perhaps a bit hot for spicy food 😄

It is never too hot for curry!

We had an excellent Indian meal in Relish Tandoori which is about 2 minutes walk from our mooring. This used to be carry out only but had been extended and tonight was banquet night

Did some googling and found that the Red  Lion is closed tomorrow and the Bowling Green is closed Monday and Tuesday. That snookers our plans somewhat. Being retired the days of the week don't really register with us so we hadn't realised that tomorrow was Monday 😄

Well that was close ! We got to Anderton and moored up as our booking was almost two hours away. Iain took Meg for a walk while I just chatted to other boaters. Our booked time approached and still no sign of Iain. He had  got lost 😄. The boat we were sharing with came past and I told them of our predicament. Iain returned when we should have been entering the lift and we quicky set off and the C & R T lady  told us to go straight in as we had done the lift before. Big apologies to C& R T and the couple on the other boat. Had we missed out turn we knew the lift was fully booked for the rest of the day.

Stopped momentarily tied to the concrete block at the end of the moorings and did a quick Waitrose trip before mooring below Hunts lock.

The Bowling Green tonight.

Apologies…I didn’t introduce my self, I was on the Hawkins Tug in front of you at Anderton when your hubby / dog were AWOL! 😩

Just read this thread, hope you're having a great time on the Weaver..

We headed off to the steam rally at Lymm and enjoyed the battle through with the waistcoat wearers today! 😂😂

Ah, sorry we didn't introduce ourselves but as you saw I was worried that we were going to miss our turn on the lift.

We ,as always, are enjoying the Weaver, even if it is a bit warm for us folks more used to the frozen north 😀.

I like lymm but decided that a trip on the river would set me up for my op next Monday.

Almost at the end of our short Weaver trip. Up the lift tomorrow then home on Thursday. I don't think we have ever  moved less on a canal trip. It was just so hot and as we both burn easily we spent  lot of time moored ( under a tree if we could find one) . A big change from our last trip at Christmas when it rained almost non stop 😀.
