Over 2350 locations mapped so far (Inc 1100 moorings)

Featured Posts

The maps have now been in development for over 6 months and we now have over 2350 locations mapped with many more still to find.

As members of the Canalworld forum, you can get access to our Everything Map https://floydtilla.co.uk/they-everything-map/ (Sorry about typo in URL, I will fix that one day)

We also have almosy 4000 members of our Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/ukcanalmaps

Over the next 12 months I hope we can develop the maps to add layers, so you can switch off things you don't want to see like Moorings, but not Marinas, or Cafes, but not Pubs.

We are also working on creating direct links to a map marker so you can send locations to people in emails etc, great for recommendations.

So during your travels in 2024 please use our maps to find what you need and also keep us upto date with what you find.

Thanks

David

Just for information here is an A-Z list of the mooring and marinas we have as of today.

Seems like I cannot paste a list of links here (Unless you know better), so if you want to see the list follow this link

Hi Stephen

Not sure what you mean by this, the direct links should zoom that map location?

see https://floydtilla.co.uk/uk-canal-and-river-marinas/?marker=443

What is happening for you?

No I meant it should use the geolocation facility of the browser to centre the map on your current location and then zoom in

For example - the map server that we use for canalplan

https://maps.tty.org.uk/index.html#7.9/52.908/-2.47

has a little icon under the zoom icons which centres the map on your current location (if you give the browser permission) and zooms in

Stowe Hill Marine went bust in 2009, it's been Stowe Hill Workshop since then.

Looks very good, like that.  I have added a little icon for that on the mooring map, will test it over the next few weeks before it appears on the other maps
