Booking the Anderton Boat lift.

Has anyone successfully booked a passage through the Anderton Boat lift recently? It doesn't seem to be an option in the drop-down menu on the "book a passage" page for me.

I had a missive through from CaRT this evening saying it was out of order due to a jammed gate.  This may be the reason.

Just had a Facebook message from someone stuck at the bottom that is fixed and should run tomorrow, I am heading that way to go down

We are extremely sorry to inform our customers that the Anderton Boat Lift has experienced a fault with the east river gate that became jammed today. Our engineers have been working to rectify the problem, but this has been unsuccessful. The boat lift is a unique structure, so we need support from our specialists’ contractors to assist our teams with fixing the gate who will be on site tomorrow morning.

 

Tomorrow morning our team will be contacting all those customers who have booked passages that are affected by this closure.

 

We will provide a further update tomorrow afternoon
