Trent 5 History Request

Featured Posts

Good Evening,

Trust all are well.

I have recently taken ownership of the Trent 5 historic working narrowboat, and along with its comprehensive history provided by the previous owner, I kindly request if any forum member has any further details, snippets, oral history, family members that may have worked, photographed, visited her during her time on the canals. I am especially interested in the "non documented" history that is already in the public domain, i.e. from the HNBO Club, C&RT etc etc.

Any information no matter how small would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

regards,

Ah, Tony’s old boat. I’m glad to see it go to a new home. Back in 1968, we towed it back to Gas St from the Liverpool rally, behind Tay, Tony’s previous boat. I’m responsible for the graining and decoration in the cabin, added in the early 90s, along with Trent 5 in the engine hole panel. If you have a watercan, that may well be my work too.

Dave.

Thanks cheshire-rose and Dave for your comments. The renovation, adaptation is.........well at present on the "back of a fag packet" but will be in line with the Historic Ships Registry guidance.......beautiful artwork including the watering can!!
