My comment is apart from extra volume I don't see why the toilet tissue can't simply be composted. I compost nearly all or waste kitchen paper towel and it is all usually gone within about six months, even the stuff with a load of cooking oil/fat on it

This point of bulk in cassettes, I wonder how much paper they must use. The true solid volume of a loo roll is next to nothing unless they put the cardboard centre down as well.
