When we bought our settee from KINVERS in 2010 RALPH was very charming when we placed the order, but he was a little tetchy when making the delivery. We put in down to his age and perhaps the travelling to BATH was a bit too much for him. The settee come pull out bed has served us well and was worth the cost.

I was quoted £100.00 per anode at CAVERSHAM and the boat was already out of the water. He was supposed to be doing me a favour as his welder was going on holiday. He also charged me £400.00 for lifting off the lorry and putting into the water, but the price would have been plus 20% vat if I paid by card. He didn't get any more business from me.

After spending a year in France and Belgium on a narrow boat I would have preferred a wider beam although the narrow boat did have it's advantages some times. There are narrow boat owners that have spent 13/14 years in France and Belgium and have coped quite easily. As already mentioned you can get more room in a shorter wide beamed boat and won't have to pay so much for a licence or to moor. If you would like more information p.m. me .

A lot of Liverpool boats were sold as sailaways and supplied to other boat builders and are often condemned because the d.i.y. guys weren't up to the job. Another factor to consider is the amount of boats they built compared to many other boat builders will show up more complaints. I have owned a Liverpool boat for 4 years and have travelled extensively including France and Belgium without any issues. For me I would certainly buy another Liverpool boat if it met my standards. On my travels I have seen many boats that supposed to have a better reputation, but I wouldn't buy them. Don't be put off, but make sure that you check it out as any other boat.

Hi, 4 of the anodes on my narrow boat are shot, but the other 4 which are in the centre are o.k. I am looking for any information regarding replacement and a reputable company based on the KENNET and AVON where I am heading for my WINTER mooring. What is the normal amount of anodes fitted to a 58' narrow boat ?. I would also like to know the sort of cost this would involve and would appreciate any advice on this matter.
