  1. Hi Guys.... ....opportunity to move from Sheffield to Bristol. Had a quick look at the marina's....but would really prefer something a little wilder. Anyone know anything...in generally?
  2. Perhaps, a hotter flue would help draw the smoke up the chimney. I've experienced all the above...forget about having a clean glass, get it up to temp.

  10. It's too hot.....we seem to be cruising at about 400f.....let's see how we get on.
  11. Cooked first meal, baby aubergine, French trimmed lamb chops, garlic, thyme...rare. Then polished the evening off with x2 bottles of champagne of which I sabre'd off the corks. May I also point out that myself and Peter could easily work as a Fred Dibnah and Guy Martin tribute act! Thanks for all your help Peter...soon, very soon Rib of Beoff and very very finest deep, rich, expensive red...

  15. Dear All, so after weeks of work please see reconditioned 1957 Rayburn Royal. It's going to cook my supper, heat 1x 5kw & 1x 1.2k radiator and give me free homemade hot water. Get in!....NOW to restore the rest of the boat.
  16. Hi Mike....We've only tried it on a starter battery as Peter states. It works in terms, that it starts the battery, it's holding charge as my alternators are performing badly. I'm afraid that's the only way that I can quantify this test. I don't have access to the equipment to test the battery I'm sorry. I would be very interested in hearing from anyone who's had a play with a leisure battery.

  19. ....so 4 months in, 1 trip from Sheffield to Nottingham and back....aluminium battery electrolyte still 100%. Can anyone explain this in any other way than Peter was right and it blooming works? Discuss....

  21. I'd suggest keep the back boiler filled and working out why it's not syphoning properly...the hotter I am the more wine I need. Never too hot...
  22. Also...may I point out that with a wood worktop then you don't get condensation on it....I believe you would with stone, synthetic...?

  24. I installed one of these in the shower, as there's a mushroom just above it.
