It does to the gypsies. I can imagine that a noisy gen/set on an unlicenced boat is a tad more annoying than a noisy gen/set on a licenced boat.

I don't have a choice of sides it's going in the middle. I walked through a tunnel on the Langolly watsit with a path down one side. With the path on the left the flue pipe would be OK but going through the other way with the path on the right your flue pipe is vunerable. However mine will be in the middle, best of both worlds.

But it's still squiffy. Depends on the stove, but I think I have got it right. Plus it allows for my other ingenious feature, and is a far better use of space.

It is a superb peice of 21st century design work. Roses and castles are all very well but who wants to live in fairy land. If you think of the resale value when designing a boat you never really get the boat you want, just a compromise between the boat you want and what you think other people will want. What's the point.
