  8. I'm glad they won. They whipped the bell terret off the pigeon box so boat-pony Sunday could use it
  9. Any one got any old photos of horse boating they can post? For preference taken of actual working boats/animals, not trip boats or modern go's
  10. He. Don't be fooled by the pink horse rug, Sunday is definatly a he Yes, it was me with him
  11. Ah, not quite. Linnet watched the proceedings from the other end of the marina and she's all wood Did anyone from here see my little boat pony though?
  12. If it was the one I suspect it was, It's because he's an idiot who hasn't understood the concept properly. I've got a marina moorers band (effectively a key to everywhere ) and he told me I wouldn't be allowed back either. I spent 20 minutes arguing the point with him before he admitted defeat
  13. I'm on the marina, usually around Aldgate and Laplander. Recognisable by my doc marten boots, my mad professor hairstyle and two Shetland ponies
  14. Standard car laquer from Halfords works well. And if you decide you want to take it off again, nitromors
  15. I was told that the road bridge right next to the Kensington canal junction (I think its called Lots bridge?) was the haunt of a ghostly woman, though no-one seemed to know why The Kensington lock cottage supposedly had a fairly grumpy ghost who would move things and periodically throw stuff. In Maida hill tunnel you can apparently hear the cries of the men involved an the accident whilst legging a boat through. I cant remember anymore off the top of my head

  18. I've been looking through Linnet's history and came across a story from her old owner. He reckoned that Linnet was an ex FMC boat, although what he said has to be taken with a handfull of salt. Did FMC take on any of the GUCC boats before nationalisation?
  19. Thats the one. Good little boat, lots of fun
  20. I will be there (as I live there) This year I've been roped into doing a talk for the YWBS and helping out on Laplander
  21. You've a sick sense of humour buster
  22. I have a very poor sense of balance on dry land, and my depth-perception is rubbish. I go into town for some bits and pieces and I end up walking into buildings Living on Linnet though, I don't have to leave her very often I heard the response was "all these years, and now he asks me"

    Guisley

Again, title says it all. Found an old photo of a sunken bwb boat marked 'Cowley, 70'. I can't quite make out the name, but I think it says Guisley I'd post it up and let other people have a gander for themselves, but I havent got a clue how to work the scanner And, as she's one of Linnet's sisters, I have to ask. What happened to Guisley?
