  1. Hi whats peoples thoughts on using roof battens for flooring battening. if its going on the steel cross members flex wont matter any way.

  6. Hi Whats peoples view on the side plates on the inside, im about to spray foam insulate, theres rust here and there is it best to just foam over or treat it and red oxide then spray foam.

  9. Hi my boats been overplated i noticed when redoing the ply floor in my boat that the original base plate is rusty on the inside is it worth using inhibitor and painting over or not worth bothering thanks in advance

  11. Hi i was looking at any ideas for covering your screws when your lining out a boat with ply was thinking maybe doing a border so the strips cover the screws
  12. I was thinking to fit my battens to the steel with self tappers but thinking would it be better to drill and tap machine screws instead

  14. Thanks for all the replys that helps me a lot so when yiu have a charger are they generally hard wired in to the shoreline or do you just plug them in thanks james

Hi im looking to eventually be on a mooring with shorepower but ill will get out and about here and there i was going to but a couple of decent solar panels so it will hopefully get me through winter if im out and about it just seems better to use 12v if your out and about over using 240v through an inverter apparently it drains yiur batterys quicker using an inverter
  16. Hi if you have inverter charger i take it that it charges the batterys when your plugged in to a shoreline and also what the benefit of this if you have solar panels that charge your batterys ive got 12v appliances so is there much benefit to having an inverter thanks james
  17. Yeah thats very true im welding on trains all the time as long you keep it close its fine

  19. You can get a tool you attach to the battery to stop this happening i weld trains we find if you have the earth near to where your welding we dont have to take the processor cards out
  20. Hi tony yes my boat has limber holes in the corners for water to go to the lowest point of the hull thats not a bad shout running them longitudinal thanks tony
