  2. Liverpool is fab by boat. Manchester (mooring by science museum) is faberoonie and if you like parades then try the Manchester pride (aug bank hol) family friendly. Runcorn boat club (bridgewater motor boat club). Down the Runcorn arm on bridgewater. Nice friendly boat club with good facilities. My favourite place is stone in the staff and worcs. Or hold on I like Market drayton on the shroppie too. Wolverhampton at Compton is pretty. The list could be endless. I liked Leeds and York and shipton as a kid bur haven't managed to get there on my own boat as an adult yet. Like the wides on t and m near near northwich and if you are that way then you must go on the weaver. Anyway good luck and happy cruising x

  4. My husband is lucky. I can balance out the list.
  5. Can you ask her to pop down the Runcorn arm to break the ice. I have a party to go to and don't fancy walking back to my moorings

  7. Well worth pinching off the roof of any boat!!! I might ask for these for Christmas. Didn't see the linky soz x
  8. I want some of these. Can you put up a linky from the Internet page? Thanks
  9. We used to moor at the boat and butty. It's a fab place to moor with great facilities. Shower washing machines and dryer. Many people live there now including Paul jones who owns the place. There is a working part of the site and they seem to turn over a few boats and also put new bottoms on others they have space to drop boats in the water too. Shops and pubs nearby. Buses at end of road. As far as I know it's secure and Paul has installed a new electric gate. Go see for yourself x

  14. You looked like you were having lots of fun. A good deed done. Well done Liam and gang! Mind you I wouldn't fancy the early mornings x
  15. Oh I know exactly who you are talking about. Name no names
  16. For some reason the last link did not show all the web cams. Try this one http://www.camsecure.co.uk/CheshireWebcamsLymmCanal.html I see boats and that blue one has been there all week!!!!
  17. There is a camera on sootys house looking over the canal. Just check the other cameras. It's fab!! Have fun on the weaver
  18. I know and I'm a bit scared!!!
  19. Check out the lymm web cam site for a view of lymm from Peter (Matthew) Corbett's house. Oh damn did I just give the game away and identify a famous persons house? Manchester is a fab place to moor but those first locks are utter swines. Don't forget to wave to Liam at sale http://www.lymm.net/webcam/
  20. If you have the opportunity then put in 240v. Remember to put a 12v plug for the mobile phone to charge near the back of the boat so that you can check for missed calls or texts while you are going along.
  21. I really hate it when people run the engine. Why don't they just move on or if at a popular place like a town, Market or attractions then they should come home from their trip out early and run the bloody thing when the neighbours are out. Or even tell me when I am mooring next to them that they like watching crap tv and will be running gennie or engine the whole night through. Oh it makes me soooooo mad! Tell you what leave all the high volt/amp (or what ever it is) at home. Sit on the back deck, fish, enjoy the scenery, talk to the neighbours. Plan your lottery win whatever! But don't spoil other peoples quiet and peaceful time. It's always worth asking them to stop after 8pm
  22. Definately my 12v hair straightners Sorrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiii
  23. On my boat it is usually food and drink thrown into the canal to feed the fish. You can usual tell what we have had for tea!!! Keep your eyes peeled for slops on boats below hatches. They must be generous fish feeders, or bad cooks (like me!) ha ha I love my hatch but I am very nosey :-)
