  1. Me thinks a beer request needs sorting out with the Navvy again. so if there are any requests just post them here. I will pop in and check availability with Steve the landlord. He can get a fairly wide range of beers( and newcastle brown ale). See you all there
  2. If the marina is valued at £2m and someone else came forward with a bigger offer (say BWML), would the liquidators not need to consider it ????
  3. Matty 40s looking good for his years then
  4. cloggy

    scam?

It has got a Barrus engine Coat
  5. If I were CRT I would have no dealings with any ltd companies without guarantees set in place first
  6. probably somewhere in this thread but again cant be bothered to trawl back. has anyone got the rough figures for occupancy in years 1,2&3
  7. Cant be bothered to trawl back through this thread, but i seem to remember reading that the NAA was not payable in the first year and only 50% in the second year, which in my view gives the marina plenty of time to fill up
  8. Think the boat was the sister to Saltheart moored at Parndon mill on the River Stort
  9. I know you put a smiley after your first responce to my question, but it was a serious question from a boater who is thinking of joining the ACC. I am not one of the people on here who goes out of his way to cause disputes or wind you up, all i was after was a simple answer on how many members the ACC has. Sorry that you went on the defensive. i will ask elsewere for information before making any decisions
  10. Sort of on topic. Can someone tell me how many members the ACC has now.
  11. Think you answered your own question (highlighted in red). The negotiations he was in was probably C&RT asking when he was going to pay the outstanding debt. We travel many miles every year in deep drafted boats and dont have that many problems with grounding and have never struggled with trees apart from the odd fallen one in the winter months (cleared very quickly by C&RT and before them BW), I must be on the wrong canals.
  12. Im sure someone on here must know, are C&RT obliged to deal with a new company or can they tell them to sod off and cut the connection. Just curious
  13. phew got to the end. Time for a pint
  14. Easter Banter at Gnosall on the Shroppie. not too far from Derbyshire
  15. The other side of the coin,as liveaboard boaters we have found Sheila Shaw to be very fair with us allowing us to overstay while Tina is undergoing Chemo. She has also been very fair with a number of other people with problems. I feel that if she was as bad as the first post suggests we would have been hounded of the canals by now
  16. The Swan at Brewood for good beer no food though. The Navvie in Gnosall is my prefered pub of choice, good beer, food and open mike night on a thursday
  17. I think it was a virus that was brought back from the Middle East by one of the locals. All the symptoms where the same as what he and half of his work colleagues had. Hope this helps
