  1. I was happy to let it drop - it was you that "grave dug" it (even if other forum member can't see because of your edit)
  2. We've e-mailed the census office and phoned the 0300 number to ask for forms so we may be included in this year's census to no avail. Apparently it's zero tolerance this year for those that won't comply - what about those of us that want to but are ignored??

  4. Once again edited - you referred to me posting on the forum about your PM to me as a perceived breach of trust before you edited this post. Said PM was only referred to obliquely on the forum - if we have a discussion on the board it should stay on the board - open for all to see.

  8. edited beyond recognition!!! (the original post read somewhere along the lines of "are you naturally obnoxious or do you just work at it. I'll not bother helping you in future")
  9. It's quite common for buyers to buy recent surveys from sales that have fallen through for one reason or another. There's absolutely no reason you should not trust these surveys if they've been commissioned by a previous would be buyer from a reputable surveyor.
  10. A really enjoyable banter! Dave's mum & dad (Daphne & Graham) particularly enjoyed meeting some of our boaty friends and Paddington Bear made sure Graham had his fill of chips!! Old friends were re-acquainted with and new ones made - it's always good to put faces to names. No photos from us I'm afraid, we left our camera behind and my phone battery was dead so we failed completely in that respect. Thanks to Chertsey for organising it.
  11. Bugger - I was really hoping that totally pointless and unhelpful post would be ignored!! There's nothing trolls like less. Patrick - totally understand why Ripple means so much to you & Val. Good luck in your new beginnings with Juno - a new chapter of good memories for you

  13. We've got two extra bods to add to the numbers - Dave's mum & dad are coming with us. We're deliberating on whether to bring our dog or not - is the pub dog friendly?
  14. Chappie walking along the towpath asked Dave today whether we had a steam powered shower! I have a feeling this series may increase the stock of silly questions
  15. Aww thank you
  16. What a great outcome!! Well done to all involved - brilliant team work! :clapping:

  18. This liveaboard was watching a bit of telly tonight - MotoGP on BBC2 followed by "Civilisation - is the West History" on C4 followed by "Wonders of the Universe" by the amazing Prof Brian Cox on BBC2. Can't do computer while we're watching telly - batteries wouldn't put up with it (Not that my absence makes that much difference!!)

  21. We missed the first two episodes and watched it for the first time tonight (having followed this thread) Sorry but we enjoyed it - and after the comments on here I was expecting it to be dire. I can't understand the snide remarks about his accent - what he speaks is where he come from innit (Estuary Essex me ) I have episodes 1 & 2 downloaded and we both look forward to watching them.

  23. Our ballot papers arrived in Kent nearly 2 weeks before the election, which was plenty of time to get them forwarded to us, filled in and sent off.
