  1. I'll probably still be lurking in the corner somewhere .... old habits die hard!
  2. I've managed to sell my Dawncraft - there is a god! - so I would like to say a big "Thank You" to everybody on the forum for putting up with me and answering my many stupid questions over the years. There are many critics of the CWDF, but it is without doubt the best forum of it's kind on the internet, and you should all be proud of the service that you provide to all the numpty boaters like me. Ta ta for now - who knows, if the bug bites again, I may be back sooner than I thought!
  3. Mind you don't fall overboard.
  4. Why is there always a queue for the bloody toilets?!
  5. Anything shiny with a handle .... whatever it is, you'll find a use for it.

  8. All joking aside, it is a fantastic achievement, and everybody involved should feel very proud of themselves. Well done to you all, sez oi !

  11. If you require, say, 1 metre of chain, then how do the hardware stores/whatever cut their high-tensile chain?

  17. A jigsaw, using a proper laminates/plastics blade and as slow a speed as possible. Put masking tape on both sides of the cut-line, and prevent the sheet from vibrating while you are cutting it. And good luck! Some polycarbonate is 'UV proofed', and guaranteed against colour change for 10 years or more. It is very strong, but easily scratched. Acrylic is a lot cheaper, but make sure to use 'exterior grade' if you are going to use it for windows. Interior grade can crack/discolour if exposed to a lot of UV. Use a low modulus, neutral cure sealant - anything else can damage the sheet.
  18. Brilliant photos - thank you for sharing them with us!
