  2. repeats soothingly to self, i will not be drawn into silly arguments with pointless silly people, i will not be drawn into silly arguments with pointless silly people, i will not be drawn into silly arguments with pointless silly people........
  3. aha! so simple yet strangely beautiful...
  4. excellent proposal. My only worry is that the offenders would die quickly. It should be a slow release of noxious fatal substance causing maximum discomfort. Any suggestions? Alternatively lobby the government for evaders and questionable types to be reclassified as extreemists and it would then be possible to report them directly to these guys That would sort them out
  5. If you are a registered continuous cruiser BW employs a group of folk who pop round to your boat on a regular basis. I'm sure they would be happy to bring mail out to you and stick it to the boat if you asked

  8. Is all that stuff actualy real or just maliciousness purposly designed to make me think my brain is broken?
  9. certainly, probaby, maybe or maybe not... Simple and physics in the same sentence? . American inteligence anyone?
  10. If we all agree to offer a max of £50 for every mooring according to their system they would lower all the online mooring accordingly
  11. been thinking bout this recently. I only use 500w cos I'm a drippy hippy, is it feasable to get 500w from solar? how many panels would I need? are they spensive?
  12. Wonder what happens if you've been moored on the middle level or EA waterways during the time you've not had a BW license? would that be the equivalent of having your car SORN? Note the word proposal B4 unleashing the dogs of hell....
  13. Some post offices will let you use post restante for a 3 month period. Ask very nicely and flutter your eyelids. I have my driving licence and car insurance registered at a po! The other alternative is a mailboxes etc. address, cost you but worth it, google them. you do need an address to get a MBE account so do it B4 you leave land!
  14. No I'm not saying bye law enforcement isnt cricket, I'm saying that telling people to f*ck off out of it makes me go yuk. A drink by all means if you want one. Bed if you're tired i suppose. Dont really know what to say about the fishy thing... As for the dreams, duckywuckies, universal harmony, kittens etc. all sound lovely Who TF mentioned cricket? nighty night
  15. are your parents in a position to consider the possibility of giving you a loan? If you have a close relationship with them and they have any capital that would be wonderful, interest rates on a marine mortgage are high you could offer your parents a reasonable repayment plan over ten years. Getting an unsecured personal loan would be a good option if you have the ability as its not secured on your boat! The deposit for the marine mortgage is the main obstacle and realisticaly borrowing it from friends or family is the only option. On the question of what to get I would personally look for something old which has been replated in the last 5 years or so. I find this puts buyers off and pushes prices down. Ex hire boats are often excellent value and are usually well maintained. lots of ex black prince, viking afloat and anglo welsh boats around that look good to me. Whatever you do dont rush into buying anything without a survey!! Good luck
  16. Wow that looks cool Band looks proper! what sort of barges can you pick up in serbia? reason I might have to go is I married one of the dodgyest women in europe once and it looks like shes going to get legal permission to remove my kids from the UK to stop them seeing me If I have to follow them I am struggling with the whole giving up the boat thing! I am approaching desperate enough to do it but if you want to come you should be warned I am liable to stay onboard should it go down valiantly screaming my childrens names and shouting you'll never take me alive bitch. Might make a good film I suppose. Wonder if fathers for justice would sponser the trip? Soundtrack possibly a delicate blend of sophie solomon, butthole surfers and nine inch nails.
  17. edited to add extra love and cuddles nasty comment. Yuk
  18. I would say vitually non existant and a long wait. personally been on all the lists for over 2 years and still nothing available peartree bridge is probably your best bet but would advise you to go along and chat to a few moorers there to see if you would like it it wouldnt suit everyone. You have to ask yourself why they would have vacancies in a very high demand area! BW waiting lists for online moorings are closed due to a new online system, check out waterscape as someone said The parks trust moorings are lovely but there is a long waiting list, phone bryony and put your name down tho (internet the parks trust) Cosgrove has a huge waiting list cos its lovely and the last 4 boats that have sold there went with their moorings so no turnover whatsoever on their lists. Blissworth marina will only take applications from you if you have a verifiable residential address and I assume the new ones due to open up will be the same but I dont know. Kingfisher at Yardly will not accept residential applications there are a couple of bridgehopper types about but they are naughty and you are not allowed to do that as it is naughty and anyone advising you on how to do that will incur the wrath of 10,000 screaming angry fishmonsters Good luck tho, hope you get one
  19. Thats weird, have just finished putting an advert in some hungarian papers to do exactly that! Think getting boat there not economical and silly. Mind you I would get to write a book and join a very small club:) gets bloody cold in the winter anyway and my boats not up that sort of trip.
  20. wow i've found that one on line too click amazing thanks! not sure reading like this is entirely ecologically friendly...have had to run my engine for hours today to keep the computer running!!!
  21. No true, sorry I just read the background bits and that is a bit nasty eek run away run away
