The wall in question has protected the general public for many years. The wall was built to keep them safe why is that not sufficient anymore? May it be because the area is now an attraction for drinkers and the council gave planning permission to businesses that attract clientele that are as savvy as newts? Gudgeon pin circlips are better! I always throw away the old ones as soon as they are removed but! On one occasion I rebuilt my Bonneville and found 4 circlips looking at me grinning as only circlips can. I had to look They were still grinning when I had put the engine back together for the second time as they flew over the hedge!

I know personally the calls that Rose has received from the owners on occasions. If this were a scam there is no real point in the owners contacting Rose considering the flak that is available for them on the forum. I for one am willing to have a poster in my boat's window in case it helps find the boat.

To answer the original question - it depends what you want. If your idea of a good time is moored outside a popular pub every night it may be getting a bit busy in some areas. If however you like mixing the 'honeypot' moorings with isolation you can still manage both. Moor early near the good pubs and keep going late to the isolated moorings. Enjoy the social life of the pub interspersed with the sheer majesty of the remote mooring with a starry canopy and you get the best of both worlds. Me - I like the remote moorings and the occasional banter with friends if it can be arranged. Edited to correct mole bait

Untill we know what actually happened we don't know what they did. If they have access to tinternet they could google to see if there is any mention of the boat. A sighting on the Ashby maybe put a rocket under them to move.

I am sure having spoken to Rose that there is unlikely to be anything suspicious regarding the owners of the boat. I have also sung the song (badly) as I passed Streethay in the past. I am surprised that the police are not able (for whatever reason) to give this the priority it deserves. I would be contacting the Chief Constable myself in this situation but to some this is daunting. Some of the issues with previous stolen boats didn't seem to add up either. I really hope we as a virtual community can fill the gaps for these people. Lets try to find their boat.
