Whilst I,m really happy that your wifes ok I cant help thinking that the more people blame somebody else for (an accident) ie wet landing stage. the more we are going to have to be saved from ourselves by the powers that be! Boating is a very enjoyable passtime BUT very dangerous, been there done it got the wet tshirt infact at that very spot and i know its deep there! hav,nt meant to offend anyone but as we all know H+S is the thin end of a very long wedge. 18. 18 Months ago I put an order in for a new shell, I sold my old boat this year after 17 years of owning it. Now heres the question ????With the way that waterways are going at the moment ie; licence/fuel/overcrowding/moorings and poor canal maintanance to name a few, would you invest in what is going to be for me possibly £100,000 + or even £50,000, semantics aside?????

  21. Really wouldnt worry about a bit of white smoke on starting (dont ever buy a BMC 1800)but the over proped bit might be a clue?If it was a car you would take it up the motorway a give it a thrashing wouldnt you?????Used to se this alot when MOT time came round on cars failed on emissions ,get the engine hot then give it a thrashing. Always found that diesels were alot like 2strokes and would block/foul up if not used hard enough!!!!!!!
  22. Do a search for Gardner Enthusiasts on Google they should be able to help you Gary

    Sublet

Does anybody know what paperwork you think that I would need to sublet my mooring. I have marina's permission and some one who wants it too. Have spoken to solicitors and they seem about as much use as a chocolate teapot. Basically want to cover my backside and marina owners as I will want it back after 12 months. Any help would be appreciated - thanks very much - Gary
