    stolen boat!

I walked between double rail lock and turnover bridge (passing Kilby Bridge) early this morning - no sign of the missing boat there. Will be doing the same route tomorrow (walking the dog!) so will check again in the morning.
  2. Thanks Liam, will give him a ring.
  3. I have accidentally cracked the glass on my Boatman stove. I've found a web site where I can get the replacement glass but can anyone tell me whether replacing the glass myself is as straightforward as it looks? There appear to be just 4 clips that hold the glass in - is that it? Or is there something else I should know about before I attempt this as a DIY task??
  4. 'Marbles' is a 3 year old tri colour bitch - she went missing from Tholthorpe in Yorkshire on 21st April. Our last unconfirmed sighting was on the river bank in the Linton on Ouse/Aldwark area. Can any boaters in that area please look out for her? She is an Entlebucher Sennenhund (like a small Burmese with Beagle type ears). She is black white and tan, is microchipped and is wearing a flourescent collar with bones on it. She is likely to be quite timid. She is my sisters dog and only moved to Yorkshire very recently having been re-homed from the Telford area. It is possible she may be trying to get back to Telford so sightings anywhere would be welcome. More details available at http://www.doglost.co.uk/forum.asp?ID=13465 If found or seen please telephone 07712 647754 Thank you!
  5. Have been to Foxton this evening - no sign of Holly either side of the locks of along the Market Harborough arm as far as Foxton village. I think the post from Graham a while ago was a good one - we should have a co-ordinated appraoch. With the weekend coming up perhaps we could all offer to do a section of canal each and co-ordinate where we'll all be so as not to duplicate. We'll be picking our boat up Saturday from Hilmorton and can do the Hilmorton to Newbold-on-Avon stretch of the Oxford. Is there a way of plotting the sections of canal covered on an interatctive map? I'm not technical - don't know if such a thing is possible.
