  1. thank you, look forward to meeting you lot one day ,very touched . Have an awesome night, back to cremating bread for me
  2. more than happy with my lot, still kinda in shock to have acquired a Tyler Wilson boat before my 29th birthday. I've come along way from my tupperware, although was gutted to have had to of parted with my barney boat. I did my homework and was quite ruthless in the viewing and got damn lucky with my offer. As much as i like reading your opinions,im my own man and do my own thing, and as a dirty hippy with dreads down to my bum,a shower would only lead to my drowning....I'll have a historic motor one day, even if it means another ten years of bein a slave in a bakery, but until then, all the best to all of ya,I doubt many of you would give me the time of day in reality, but id be very touched if ya did
  3. I live in a 32ft trad, and have done fine for nearly four years. Has sep engine room, which certainly makes all the difference.
  4. Just breast up badly, they'll soon get the message Just breast up badly, they'll soon get the message
  5. I use my stove as a fridge in the summer,I know,I never believed it would work either.
  6. Miss max,I'm gonna inbox you on here in a min
  7. I got a thirty two foot boat, and I make at least three mistakes on every cruise....its all character buildin and ironically only when cruisin with mates, always behaves perfectly with strangers!
  8. I started off in plastic and was too mean to stick a fire in it,and spent my first winter praying I wouldn't lose my feet or worst freeze to death, however I did have the time of my life in it and it only cost two k ,and never ever once did I step in the north wing (it was centre cockpit). However six months of freezing weather, ice on the inside and condensation drenchin my duvet was enough insentive for me to save 12k for my little narrow boat. Got a 32ft trad ,with a seperate engine room, fixed double and a living room bigger than some of my mates that have sixty foot boats. However the metal boats been a bit of a money pit,its only a cheap life style if you do no maintenance ever! Feel free to msg if you have any questions ,best wishes
  9. Take it as it comes, how often does a plan go to plan ?
  10. Man you d get a pretty awesome narrow boat for your buck. I did my first winter in Tupperware and spent most of it convinced I was to freeze to death. There's always maintenance on whatever you end up with......'you get the boat you deserve'......that still haunts me!
  11. There's nothing wrong with the wood tbh,was just wondering if once I've repainted her, would it be worth runnin some sealent around em?
  12. I've got some lovely wooden hand rails on my narrow boat, but there is rust coming through either side of them,I know I should get metal ones welded on but I have polystyrene insulation and really don't want to dismantle a extremely tired yet functional fit out, would I get away with runnin some butyl sealent around them once I've treated the rust and done some painting??
