  13. Which is what made me suspect a mechanical failure. We had similar happen on a boat we hired (although with much less expensive consequences and on a much smallet scale!) Something failed with the forward gear selection mid manoeuvre and putting the throttle ahead engaged reverse at an alarming rate!
  14. At a guess there has been some sort of mechanical failure there.
  15. Don't waste your time and effort. Save the money it will cost for a heavy duty sewing machine and materials, then save a little while longer and get a professional who knows what they are doing to do the job once and do the job right. There is an art to making covers. That is why they are not cheap.
  16. It was a shade under 9ft with the Hoods up. We sold her a few years ago now back in Feb 2021. (Blimey, how time flies!)

  18. Are you sure they are wasps? We have mortar bees that use the weepholes in our house above the windows. They are solitary bees and cause no harm or nuisance. We also have miner bees under the front hedge. Again solitary and not really a nuisance until we need to cut the hedge a couple of times a year. They are a bit territorial then!
  19. I'm guessing the pontoon and bollards are working their way downstream somewhere by now. Same with the pontoons from Torksey Lock Cut!
  20. Cromwell Lock and Dunham Bridge (Photos from Facebook Group)
  21. No. It was delivered by Evri so it was chucked over the fence/wall.
  22. Funnily enough we have not seen many wasps this year either but have had several English hornets in the garden which we have not seen previously. They are scary! We definitely have not had as many bees either this year.
  23. Our neighbours have just gone to check on their caravan at Torksey. It was close last night. Fingers crossed for them! Will be a close call on the flood gates at Torksey Lock that 😳
  24. Seen that boat around before. Don't think they were new to boating or boating in rivers! Unless it has had a recent change of ownership.
  25. Drone footage of Bleasby just upstream of Hazelford Lock. BBC News - Watch: Drone footage shows hamlet cut off by floods https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-nottinghamshire-67896425 Dunham Bridge closed.
