  1. I'm not anti-Scottish, I merely oppose independence, which I'd say was quite obvious from my post unless of course you're the sort who likes to the negative in everything, pick it up and run with it.
  2. Looks to be just forwards of the pigeon box to me, perhaps this is another of your 'only in hi-res' pictures that seem to back up your misguided "facts". I wasn't aware you owned that boat complete with its original cabin so I fail to see how it helps your cause ??
  3. You want independence ? Fine with me, have it. Let 'em sink...
  4. I have, and they aren't. Unless you have pictures that show otherwise I'll take your rather ambiguous answer as confirmation that you haven't got a clue either way.
  5. Correct me if I'm wrong Laurence, but wasn't it you who confidently stated that the exhaust outlets on middle boats were " extremely forward set" ? Are we now expected to take as gospel that they were canted back also ?
  6. Would you care to share them with us Laurence ?
  7. One assumes you have photographic evidence of this ?
  8. To what extent and in what format did the middle boats cabin layout differ Laurence ?
  9. One would imagine that anyone into their "larger old working boats" would be suitably unfazed by it's 100 by 22 dimensions ?
  10. Did Chas Nelson have their own motors built or were they acquired from other carriers as and when opportunity arose?
  11. The lady in question owns both boats, however she has decided to sell. Unfortunately her health has forced her hand somewhat into having to sell what can only be described as one very good boat and one exceptional boat. A shame for her but a fantastic opportunity for someone to own a Brinklow built boat which is beyond compare.
  12. At £45 if it looks the same, grab it. The last one I bought was that price and, as far as I know, is still keeping the customers warm til this day.
  13. I'd confidently supply this as a direct replacement. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WEBASTO-AIR-TOP-THERMO-TOP-DIESEL-HEATER-FUEL-PUMP-KIT-EBERSPACHER-/111421903998?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_BoatEquipment_Accessories_SM&hash=item19f143547e Albeit from Turkey, it's as good as the genuine thing.
  14. Far be it for me to mention his name on here. I was going to be polite and congratulate you on cruising the entire inland waterway network (twice) in three years and for finding some acid to moored up in between locks Perhaps incontinence is a virtue after all ??
  15. No, years of neglect, corrosion and poor maintenance sunk it...Simon just tickled it into submission

  17. Does this mean the contents of my Kampa are a no-no too ?

  20. I would struggle to either agree with or find the logic behind considering a hob unit which is screwed down to the work surface as a 'portable appliance'.

  23. If it, the appliance, is the only one aboard then for the purposes of isolation the main valve will suffice. Applicability at BSS examination check 7.11.1 makes it clear this is the case, sorry David.
