  1. I have an lr.1 lying around,900 rpm /2hp so ill have a gander at the injector and see if it resembles any thing that has been so far mentioned.Intruging innit, tough for Claudia though. Ive a few petters aroun, but the effort of a transplant is hardly worthwhile

  3. well Virgin has just bought Northern Rock and are doing custumer lounges . Be okay on the Thames foir all of us boaty boys
  4. I dont buy glow plugs from mikuni, take the Bosch or Duraplug number and get the next spare from a commercial diesel shop.To my mind they are a bit fragile,I consider them as a consummable item, and we always have a couple in stock,I hate cold showers and as I have an aircooled engine I rely on my mikuni. Incidently I use used veg oil as a a fuel, even in the road vehicle(merc indirect injection)HMRC allow 2500 litres a yr without duty ,so the boat runs on it too.

  9. Oh and put a witness mark on the pump to block point the dont turnthe engine. You could turn the engine first so to line up the timing mark and pointer on the crank pulley. Not a frightening job ,just be methodical and CLEAN around the injector unions before you take them off. Robin
  10. It has a splined driveshaft that has a wide bit on it so it can only fit one way. Robin
  11. I have always used the manufacturers recommended grades,if you put a heavier grade in cold weather you can compromise the manual start capability that is a useful feature of these old engines. In my case I use a CC spec 30 monograde, HDX 30, supplied by by Agritec-online.com.This for older normally aspirated engines, used in agriculture and construction purposes.Too high a spec may lead to bore glazing if a sustained time on tickover or low power is the mode of use. Robin
