There is a rope across with a sign saying "Moorers only beyond this point" (or words to that effect)......surely that's enough to put off even the hardest criminals ?

PL has also put wooden posts in the ground with a metre circle of gravel round the posts ,these are marked as dog toilet areas and your pooch isnt allowed to pee on the grass.

PL held a meeting about this residential tax , as shyster basher has already said it was absolute nonsense ,later on the moorers found out that HE had been charged council tax for the penthouse and that he was trying to pass the cost on to the moorers

From what I can gather from talking to some people I know who moor there ,very few seem to be taking the situation seriously. Unless everyone's being told that its all sorted out ??

I got talking to a couple last Sunday who had come out of Pillings for the day and moored behind me ,when I jokingly asked if they were making the most of their freedom whilst they still could , the reply was that they'd been told by a certain member of Pillings staff that......... "everything has now been sorted and that it was all a big misunderstanding and the entrance will remain open".

If the entrance gets blocked off in April ,how are the boats going to move out ?.....are they just going to levitate over the blockade ?....the CRT guys I've been talking to say it'll be blocked off using "stop planks" , there's not going to be someone there 24-7 just to let people out as and when they feel like it

What happens if a number of boats leave before the 14th April and moor up outside pillings ,and CRT then block the entrance ,do those boats then have to abide by the 14 day mooring rule ?

The river Soar is now in flood (nothing new) ,lights are on red at Barrow and its still rising ,it came up at least a 30cm (that's a foot in old money) overnight -

I agree with the above ,Buxton is normally one of the first places in the UK to get road access cut off because of snow
