shush !!! Alan, my lickle boat is in the wild lands of Northamptonshire, whilst I am in the land of dragons and druids till next summer ( hoping to get up to her mid feb,weather and work permitting) and I worry that all is ok as I will be then a 'liveaboard', but she is in a marina, so hopefully without the worry of Mr Finch and other reprebates, I hope she is ok festive greetings

I personally would have a natter to the boater concerned and if for any reason they wouldnt or couldnt change to smokeless fuel, and if it affected me that much, I would then ask to be moved to another mooring. If I have a problem in life with anything or anyone, I always try to find a amicable solution before I go in heavy handed so to speak. I hope that you get it all sorted out

I am being a bit cheeky, but how much are the moorings at Ventnor?? I cannot find their prices. All I can find is an online application form
I have a 38ft cruiser-style ( beautiful narrowboat and I am looking for long term/ liveaboard moorings in Oxfordshire as I have one sapling already studying in Oxford, and another one hoping to start next year. Many thanks, tree -
Well! after having had my boat for nearly a year and getting her all sorted out before I go and live on her in the summer, ( after many moons of not living on a boat, well erm .. more like 19yrs), I will be getting my boat-legs and tiller arm back lol , then I will be completing an engine maintenance course and then whay hay!! I will be going where ever I please. I have placed 'L' Plates on the front and back of 'treespirit', so if you see me ambling by, gives me a wave and say hello

Hi, I also managed to get a replacement 9 cell battery from Ebay for my Dell Inspiron Laptop. It does stick out a lickle bit at the back, but was a very reasonable price and works fine.

Mike a quick bend of your ear, just got back in and house boiler, when it has been running for a bit, and when you notch up the thermostat, it makes a funny noise erm.. like the sound of air going out of a ballon!!! so i have turned it off, it did get a service last winter, but hmmm... is this normal?? its a old fashioned (not combi boiler) called a Baxi any advice many thannks
